Chinese Single Day is a day for people who are single, celebrated on 11th November. There are four numbers "1" within this special date, which refers to singles. This holiday becomes popular among young people. It is originated from univerities, some univerity students choose this day to celebrate their bachelors' identities and want to find a girlfriend or boyfriend at that day. Some people organize parties or Karaoka or try their fortune.
As more and more people join the celebration of this holiday, it has become a good opportunity for companies targeting their consumers including online shopping websites. This day becomes the largest online shopping day in China. Alibaba group, the biggest e-commerce company, creates oneline shopping malls like Tmall and Taobao to satisfy young people's online shopping needs.
